Sources close to the families of the arrested girls have told the media that on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the forces of the Taliban attacked their house on Marafet Street in Dasht-e-Barchi, Kabul, Afghanistan. The forces of this group arrested three sisters named Azadeh Rezaei, 25, Nadia Rezaei, 17, and Elaha Rezaei, 14, along with their brother Yahya Rezaei, 22, and transferred them to an unknown location.
According to the latest news updates, sources from the Taliban Ministry of Interior responded to the questions asked by the Afghanistan International media about the arrest of these girls and their brother in the west of Kabul, “Taliban stated that they will investigate this matter. According to the Taliban, it is not known who arrested these four members of a family in the Kabul West.”
“Relatives of these detainees referred to the 13th and 18th districts and the Ministry of Interior of the Taliban, but so far, they could not find a clue of the whereabouts of the arrested girls. Previously, the Taliban had also arrested Tamana Rezaei, the sister of these three women's rights activists, who was released after 29 days from this group's prison.”
