At the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum held last week in Cascais, Portugal, Mohammad Ali Rahimi, an Afghanistani young migrant, was recognized among the top 20 young talents under 25 globally, bringing another source of pride to his country and the migrants and refugees community. The event, attended by the UN Secretary-General, foreign ministers, representatives of international organizations, young leaders, and prominent global figures, provided a platform for showcasing young talents from around the world.
According to Mohajir Times, Mohammad Ali, who specializes in documentary filmmaking and social short films, was acknowledged as one of the top 20 global youth in the media and film sector. On the opening day of the event, the honorees were celebrated for their achievements. In his remarks, Rahimi described this recognition as an opportunity to enhance his responsibilities and impact.
Mohammad Ali Rahimi has previously excelled in the world of art, including winning the Honorary Award for Best Film in Finland and being nominated at the Semad Festival in Sweden. He is now contemplating the creation of another feature-length film inspired by Afghanistan culture, aiming to highlight the untapped potential of Afghanistani society.
The UNAOC Global Forum, held biennially with the participation of the UN Secretary-General and senior officials from various countries and international organizations, focuses on themes such as cultural diversity and the unity of humanity. The 10th Forum, held last week in Portugal, brought together a diverse group of participants, where Rahimi stood out as one of the 20 exceptional young talents globally.
