Anti-Refugees' Movements Consider Afghanistan Suicide Bomber from 10 Years Ago for Kerman Explosion
Mohajir Times
According to Mohajir Times, citing IRNA, some anti-revolutionary accounts have introduced an individual who was arrested 10 years ago in May 2015 in Afghanistan for attempting a suicide operation as the perpetrator of today's terrorist explosion in Kerman. Their aim is to incite public sentiment against Afghanistani migrants.
IRNA wrote in this regard: “According to IRNA's report on Wednesday night, this action is going hand-to-hand in cyberspace while firstly the mentioned person is a citizen of Pakistan and secondly, he was arrested 10 years ago when he planned to carry out terrorist operations in Afghanistan. According to the report, some enemies opposed to Iran-Afghanistan relations are attempting to ignite discord between the two nations and two countries by spreading lies and using photo shopped images. So, many Afghanistani nationals were present at today's commemoration ceremony for Hajj Qasem in Kerman.”
These actions and attempts to fuel discord come at a time when anti-immigration and anti-Afghanistani refugees' movements in Iran have been actively spreading a considerable amount of rhetoric against the presence of Afghanistan migrants. Recently, numerous statements against Afghan migrants in Iran are disseminated through fake and anonymous addresses in the virtual spaces. Thus, one of the slogans of these anti-refugees' movements in the virtual spaces against Afghanistani migrants in Iran is characterized by the hashtag “#Expulsion_of_Afghans_National_Demand.”
