Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s Wife Sentenced to Death by Iraqi Court
The Iraqi National Intelligence Service stated that the wife and daughter of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi were hiding in a neighboring country with false names and passports
Mohajir Times: The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq announced in a statement today, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, that the wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the former senior leader of the terrorist group ISIS, has been sentenced to death.
According to the Al-Ahad network, the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq reported that “Asmaa Mohammad,” the wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was convicted of detaining and torturing Yazidi women in her home. The council stated: “The Criminal Court in the Karkh district of Baghdad has issued a death sentence for the wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the former senior leader of ISIS.”
The statement added: “After the terrorist group ISIS took control of the city of Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province in northern Iraq in 2014, al-Baghdadi’s wife detained Yazidi women in the Sinjar area in the west of this province in her home—after elements of this terrorist group kidnaped them.”
According to the statement, the Iraqi Judicial Court has tried “Asmaa Mohammad” on charges of “collaborating with ISIS, forcibly holding Yazidi women in her home, and assisting ISIS terrorists in transferring these women from Sinjar.” Previously, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service announced in February that the wife and daughter of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the terrorist group ISIS, had been arrested in an undisclosed neighboring country.
