Local sources report that a former member of the security forces of the previous Afghanistan government was shot dead in his home. Hossain Hosseini was one of the military officers of the Hazara community in the government of the Republic of Afghanistan, who was killed on February 14, 2024, by armed men of the Taliban group at his home in Dasht-e-Barchi, Kabul.
Sources say that armed Taliban attacked Hossain Hosseini's house at night in Dasht-e-Barchi, western Kabul, Afghanistan, and shot him dead. After beating up Hosseini in front of his family members, Taliban gunmen shot him several times in the face and head and killed him. However, the officials of the Taliban group have not commented on this matter yet.
Hosseini was one of the former militaries who stayed at home after the fall of the government to the Taliban and with the announcement of a General Amnesty for the military. And during the last two years, he was busy with a normal life. After the Taliban regime came to power in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan security forces, especially the Hazara militaries, have been tortured and killed many times, and this series of killings is still going on.
